The Design Doctor

As The Design Doctor my goal is to enable design teams to take a fresh look at their creative practices, to help diagnose where enhancements that are commercially beneficial could be made.

In 2012, I’m looking to prototype The Design Doctor’s services with different design companies and their teams, if you are interested in hearing more, get in touch via twitter @dremmajefferies or email emma.jefferies@gmail.com for a chat. There is a free half day workshop available for design companies and their team to trial this service – your team will make and flight a plane!

The Design Doctor’s Bio

thedesigndoctor1I am Dr. Emma Jefferies – The Design Doctor. I have a curiosity for how designers’ think and learn. From conversations with designers and managers it is apparent that most teams implicitly understand where things are going wrong, but due to daily pressures to meet deadlines, it is rare to have the time to discuss problems, identify opportunities for improvement and visualise a way forward.

As The Design Doctor, my goal is to enable design teams to take a fresh look at their creative practices, to help diagnose where enhancements that are commercially beneficial could be made. My knowledge and approach gained from research into developing designer’s visual practices, and design teams (at Pixar, Philips, BHS, ThinkPublic, TheAlloy etc.) has formed what I can offer as The Design Doctor.
